	Birdhill is a unique village with many attractions nearby.  Situated on the N7, Birdhill is midway between Limerick and Nenagh. Dublin city centre can be easily reached by train from the station at Birdhill, making it hassle-free for our guests to visit Dublin without the traffic or parking problems! Matt the Threashers award-winning restaurant is a two minute walk from Kaukauna Lodge.   The Pollagh Trail is a popular walking route past Kaukauna, taking in a wide variety of trees and wildlife. The lake town of Killaloe is only three miles from Birdhill, which has the Brian Boru Heritage Centre, River Cruises, fishing, shops, pubs and restaurants.
					Birdhill lies at the centre of a very varied landscape: hills to the south-east stretching down to the callows by the Shannon, bog lands to the south and fertile plains to the north-east.
